Niche Finders

Niche finder software is an invaluable tool when it comes to internet marketing and keyword research.  Anyone who has used this type of software can tell you they are well worth the money.  The hours saved in researching just a single niche market will more than pay for the software.  The problem is most people don’t know they need the software.  In fact, most people go about marketing on the internet completely backwards.

There are three categories of internet marketers I will describe and how they use (or don’t use) keyword research.

The Full Time Online Marketer: They are  completely dedicated to making money online.  They will use most means necessary to drive traffic to their sites.  They are internet marketers first and foremost and most of the time don’t care what they are selling as long as people are buying.  They will work their online marketing programs from both sides.  They will research a product to sell and then build a site to sell it or they will build a site that will get traffic and then find a product to sell to that traffic.  They are the biggest beneficiaries of a good niche finder software program.  If this is the category you will be in then you should seriously consider investing in the best keyword research tool.  I use Market Samurai but there are many other internet marketers that swear by Micro Niche Finder.  And here are two reviews of MNF.  There is a full list of niche finder software at the end of this post as well.

The Adword Marketer:  These are internet marketers that would rather buy the traffic to their site than have to learn about search engine optimization, keyword density, back links, permalinks, social bookmarking, micro niche marketing, etc, etc, etc.  They have either been burned by a “SEO” company that sold them a bill of goods and produced little, if any results, or they have never even tried to get organic traffic and wouldn’t know where to start because the thought is too daunting.  It is just easier to pay Google or Yahoo for the clicks.  These people are perfect candidates for a micro niche marketing program that includes the creation of a micro site built around specific keywords in a highly targeted micro niche.

The Off-Line Convert:  These are people running an offline business that use the internet to market their business.  They are focused on running their business and had minimum time and resources to put toward learning the highly technical details of internet marketing.  The problem is they know their customers are online either shopping or researching the things they sell and they need to get in front of these people.  The offline convert will do a number of things to try and capture internet business.  They will buy leads.  They will buy access to online marketers sites like yellowpages.com and merchantcircle.com.  They will buy google adwords.  They will pay for a website to be built and a company to seo that website.  And they will do all of this with almost no idea of what is good or bad, expensive or cheap, effective or a waste of money and time.  These business owners need a low maintenance, highly targeted web presence that they can own and control to a certain degree.  But they don’t need to know or learn the nitty gritty details that go into a website solution.
